LIVERPOOL STREET STATION PUBLIC TOILETS REFURBISHMENT
THE PROJECT
Cardon Property and Construction was appointed on the public toilet refurbishment at Liverpool Street Station in London. The project included the complete refurbishment of the men’s and ladies toilets at the Station. As London’s second-busiest station with 30,000 passengers travelling through each day, the works needed careful planning. While the works were taking place, passengers still needed access to toilets, so replacement facilities were provided as well as the logistics of movement of people around the station.
Additionally, the works took place during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. To prevent overcrowding and facilitate social distancing as directed by the Government, the refurbishment also included the demolition of walls to provide a larger toilet space.
The project was also delivered to stringent timescales to minimise disruption. The project was delivered successfully with a high-end, sustainable finish.
Works include:
- Demolition and soft strip of existing toilets
- Re-configuration of toilet layouts
- Partition and ceiling works
- New floor and wall tiling throughout
- Supply & Installation of New Sanitary ware
- Mechanical Ventilation Works
- Decoration
