HEALTH & SAFETY FIRST
Cordon Construction’s comprehensive health and safety policy governs the performance of our site teams. Equipment operators and labourers must have received training specific to their work environment alongside our mandatory (site specific) induction process. Contracts Manager, Project Managers, Site Managers and Site Engineers are subject to additional training requirements, including first aid work training SMSTS or SSSTS, plus any required degrees or training specific to the project.
At Cordon, safety planning and practices are put into place well before the project begins. Prior to beginning work, our Contracts Manager prepares a site-specific construction phase health and safety plan for each project to account for the conditions and hazards present at each site. Once the project begins, the Contracts Managers makes frequent job site visits to monitor work in progress and consult with supervisors to further assess hazards and performance.
